Chemical peel

Acne and problem skin, pigmentation spots, fine lines, acne scarring and a rough, uneven skin texture. The acid dissolves the top layer of skin and kick starts the production of new cells.

Our own Dr.Nek professional chemical peel at 40 per cent. It contains AHA acids: mandelic, glycolic, lactic and citric. These acids occur naturally in fruit and dairy products.

We remove your make up and cleanse the skin, apply the peel and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes depending on your skin type, then rinse it off thoroughly and close the area with a hydrating hyaluronic acid serum. The beautician chooses the contact time by how your skin is reacting.

It may peel for a few days. Do not pick the flakes, let them come away on their own. That is a normal course, not a complication.

For fourteen days stay out of the sun, off sunbeds, and use a high SPF cream. For a week before and after the treatment do not use retinol.

For a week beforehand stay out of the sun and off sunbeds, do not wax or epilate, and avoid products with alcohol, retinol, salicylic or glycolic acid, as well as self tanning creams. Stop hydroquinone two weeks beforehand, and alcohol and nicotine 24 hours beforehand.

On broken skin, with a sensitivity to any of the ingredients, during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and with an active cold sore or inflammation in the area being treated. Also with eczema and infections, burns, keloid scarring, albinism, while taking corticosteroids or acne medication, and with viral, bacterial and oncological conditions.

Mainly from autumn to spring. In summer the sun is strong enough that treated skin would be exposed to needless risk of pigmentation.
